Short Street Roman Kilns
As Dilton Marsh History Society members will be aware, there has been little or no news to report over the past twelve months. However, I was reminded recently, by one of our members of the work by the Bath and Camertorn Archaeological Society on the Roman Kiln site at Short Street, We were fortunate to have their assistance during our “Dig For Dilton“ project back in 2019.
While this report is perhaps quite detailed in nature, I thought it might well be of interest to show the extended period of Roman occupation in our immediate area.
Let’s all hope that in the next couple of months the society can start to look forward to a more active period of looking into the history of Dilton Marsh.
